Comp cards and model measurements, explained
A comp card is a one-page model CV with your best photos, name, contact and measurements: height, bust or chest, waist, hips, shoe size, hair and eyes. Measure accurately, update it regularly and keep the same numbers on your Lookz profile.

On this page 4 sections
A comp card (short for composite card) is a model’s business card. Casting directors and clients use it to compare people quickly, so it needs to be accurate, current and easy to read.
What goes on a comp card
Front: your name and one strong headshot.
Back: 3–4 images showing range (full-length, commercial smile, ethnic or specialty look) plus:
- Height
- Bust (women) or chest (men)
- Waist
- Hips
- Shoe size (UK sizes are standard in India)
- Hair colour and eye colour
- Your Lookz link and agency or phone contact
How to measure yourself correctly
Use a soft measuring tape, wear fitted innerwear and stand relaxed. Better still, ask someone to measure for you.
| Measurement | How to measure |
|---|---|
| Height | Barefoot, back against a wall, heels together; mark the top of your head with a flat object |
| Bust / chest | Around the fullest part of the chest, tape level across the back |
| Waist | Around the narrowest part of the torso, usually just above the navel |
| Hips | Around the fullest part of the hips and seat, feet together |
| Shoe | Your usual UK size for formal shoes or heels |
Record in both inches and centimetres — international clients often ask for centimetres.
Print or digital?
Most castings in India now happen online, so a digital comp card (a PDF or your Lookz profile) is used most often. Keep a few printed copies for in-person auditions and agency meetings.
Add your stats to Lookz
Go to Edit profile → Model details and add your height, measurements, shoe size, hair and eyes. They appear on your profile so casting teams can shortlist you without asking — and you can share your profile link as a live comp card.
